OKdo has added DACBerry 400 audio INPUT/output to the Raspberry PI ecosystem. It has been produced in partnership with OSA Electronics, especially the Raspberry PI 400, and is available exclusively through OKdo.

OSA Electronics provides design expertise and manufacturing support. It complements the existing RASPberry PI format audio accessory HATs, but is the first and only accessory designed specifically for the Raspberry PI 400 all-in-one computer format. The device is also the first raspberry PI 400 accessory to offer audio capabilities.

The device connects to Raspberry's 40-pin GPIO head and provides direct access for further expansion. The two versions of the product have two 3.5mm jacks that support audio output (headset, wire-out) and audio input (MIC, wire-in).

Oriol Sanchez, founder of OSA Electronics said:"The DACBerry 400 was designed in collaboration with OKdo, using the latest audio technology and best design practices,"  "We are confident that it will become a must-have accessory for raspberry PI 400 users, meeting their high expectations for audio capabilities."

With 32-bit sampling rates up to 96kHz, the device uses an integrated DSP to create 3D effects, including equalization and de-emphasis. This is complemented by a 102dB SNR DAC and a 92dB SNR ADC. The low-noise design separates analog and digital functions to achieve 0.006% THD+N @ 1kHz.

Richard Curtin, OKdo's senior vice president of technology said:"It's very important for OKdo to provide the best possible encoding entry,"  "That's why we partnered with OSA Electronics to bring the DACBerry 400 to market. , expanding the reach of the product by making it easy and fun for those just starting out to add audio to their projects.”
